Other Works by Sophocles

Sophocles wrote many plays throughout his lifetime. It is believed that he wrote over a hundred but the majority of them did not survive to this day. If you have read my previous blog posts I'm sure you heard of the plays Oedipus Rex and Ajax. If you haven't heard of them they are just two of Sophocles' seven plays that survived to this very day. The others plays were Antigone, Electra, Oedipus at Colonus, Philoctetes, and Trachinian Women.
