Music hasn't always been such a big part of my life. It was about freshman year of high school when I took my first chorus class and fell in love with singing and playing music. During my first winter show where all the chorus classes performed, I had been given a solo, and that was the day when my parents had found out that I had a natural talent in music. It was also the first time I had sang in front of a crowd of people, and in my opinion, it is so much worse than just speaking in front of people. My parents then allowed me to take voice and guitar lessons, that I today still take, to help me become better and have more of a variety of talent in music. Another instrument I have been learning to play more recently is the piano.
As I had mentioned in my previous about me post, I would like to become a music therapist in the future. The thought of playing music for people for a living makes me feel so content. I love people and I love music so I know that I would be successful if I did that as a career. Theater and music come hand in hand nowadays and I know that is another reason why I was so drawn toward the idea of writing my blog about Sophocles. Music and theater both have a story to tell, they are just told in different forms.
